Fried rice: I love this stuff, it reminds me of old-fashioned Chinese restaurants of the kind that served egg foo yung and had a neon sign advertising chop suey! What a great way to enjoy leftovers. (what ischop suey‘ anyway?)

Fermented black beans are a wonderful flavoring; they add a reliably strong bass note to your stir fry sauce.
